Heres my first four spoons, the in order i made them, one is out of a pine, found lying around, two are from pine fatwood and the last if from a Mahogany scrap from the Patten shop at work. a couple I have put on here before just thought i would show them together.
The Pine one I think was a good place to start as the wood was soft and easy to carve, the second two were a bit harder due to the age of the wood as it is a root from on of the trees blown down in the 1987 hurricane, piled up and left to root, but the Fourth one was a real challenge its a scrap piece of Hard Mahogany that is used for sand moulds at a foundry that a I work at, it seemed to take ages and would only allow small shave with a knife, I cant remember the name.
Hope you like my efforts, and welcome comments.
