Just received this from Jerbal over on British Blades. Its the Mk1 prototype, I hope he starts to make these to sell, solid and big enough for family/group cooking; 20"X10".

I'm a happy chappie and I'll fire it up this week time permitting

Having seen this on BB, i have made a folding version, it weighs about a kilo, tried it out today, cooked dinner in the woods, and so far so good, did'nt put to much weight on it, but will load it up tomorrow to see how it goes.

If no fires allowed its the perfect height for putting a couple of 2 pint Primus stoves under, should be able to use three pans with that setup:)

have you tried it out yet? I've been interested in a grill (portable) for some time without having manufacturing skills this means keeping my eye open for suitable stuff. I have a 12"x 4" SS grill I bought from Webbs and hope to use IPK pegs as supports with a little fiddling. Your grill however seems to fit the bill perfectly.
I'll have to have a look on BB to see if he starts sellling and the cost.

Another way to stop the legs splaying out would be to build up a spot of weld on the inside of the frame, behind the rivets/bolts that hinge the legs.
A combination of that AND the angle cut would see it alright.

I had this made up for me years ago, ( it got a bit rusty living outside )
Very solid, holds a huge amount of weight. And is height adjustable by means of 'R clips' on the legs. The hot plate is useful too. Just in case any one wants a good practical design.
