Don't know about fibreglass, but my firepoi use kevlar ribbon and it works very well indeed as a wick. Any firepoi supplier carries it in several weights/widths.

Monkeyboy suggested I tried this in the monkeyboy stove. My neighbour was having a woodburner intalled so I asked the installer to sell me some. He gave me a metre. Suggest you try a woodburning stove fitter!

Im with Toddy. Kevlar ribbon is great and doesnt give off loose fibres like the glass stuff. How much are you after, if its just a meter i can ping you some in the post Monday. Let me know via pm.
