The downsizer site had a long thread about mooncups
I'd never heard of them before that

Something that has to be considered though if the co-pilot enjoys the bushcrafti too

Can it not be an open (within reason) discussion? I don't think men can be expected to turn a blind eye to the subject in general, even if most do anyway.

Personally if i was a dad to a daughter i'd want to know about the dangers of toxic shock etc.

Re menstrual cycles, is it not right though that sometimes when women are in a group for whatever reason they can synchronise (due to all the hormones and pheromones kicking about the place)? I've also heard that pregnant women can be affected by the gravitational pull of the moon, so maybe these two things are being confused in some way to produce the misnomer. Or maybe all of that is BS!

Getting back to the subject, I believe that even in the 15th century or so, women's menstruation was still referred to as a time of 'confinement'... I forget exactly when rags started to be commonly used to allow women more freedom during this time...

Anyway, I'm afraid that generally I take the chemical option and just take tablets to avoid menstruation if I know I'm going to be away from modern conveniences for a while. In the past I've suffered the horrors of having my bin bags ripped open overnight by scavenging animals... :yuck:
