The Dish - funny, touching and full of great shots of a bloomin' big dish.

Great movie! And also a good one to nail the moon-hoaxers with! ;)

Some other good 'uns in this thread already - LoTR, Italian Job, Withnail, Shawshank, etc... I'm a little surprised no-one has mentioned the first "Matrix" movie, which I thought was excellent. Then there's Steve Martin's "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid", the classic "Casablanca", and of course "Flash Gordon"! :)

I hate Braveheart. Highlander is OK, if only for the hilarious scene where the Frenchman playing a Scotsman has to explain to the Scotsman playing an Egyptian pretending to be a Spaniard what a haggis is... Cracks me up everytime! :D

The real one, not the awful remake. Hollywood screenwriters - "Why don't we replace the monkey with a woman and give the monkey dialogue?".

The Spirit of St Louis
Seems to be a pattern emerging here, in fact....
Anything with James Stewart

Vertigo.

Stewart and Hitchcock were an awsome combination. Rear Window spooked me right out as a kid, and probably still would if I watched it again tomorrow.

Has anyone seen 'The Hunted' with Benico del Toro. It's a great action movie and is supposed to be roughly based on Tom Brown's experiences with the armed forces. The extras have a great bit with Tom Brown showing everyone some tracking skills. Not to be missed.

Other favourite films?

Evolution (so funny, my ribs hurt every time)
Love actually (well, i am a girl after all)!
Dodgeball
Naked Gun 1,2 +3
Indiana Jones (the last one particularly)
Anything with Brad Pitt. (Not because he's great looking, he's just been in some brilliant films - fight club, Troy, 12 Monkeys, Seven). OK, maybe because he's good looking as well!
