The only down side of diamond stones is that they take off more metal than is necessary and as such this will wear away the blade sooner

Garys right about the dimond stone removing metal very fast, but it is very good as a course stone for blades such as the wolverine that have a very hard edge

I wouldnt use a dimond stone for finnishing the edge though

this is why i like the DC4 so much its dimond on one side (which takes the time out of sharpening a RW62 blade) and a fine ceramic on the other that hones the edge nicly

Whats the difference between the DC3 and DC4? i'm assuming its size and are about to make myself look like a fool.
:-D
