Hi Guys,

I'm looking for a decent but lightweight set of extendable tarp poles for a bike packing trip. I note that walking poles are often used but I'd rather have something without the handles so it packs away smaller.

Anyone have any recommendations?

I've got a couple of sets from rvops. I would highly recommend them.

I'll second that, mine have lasted me really well.

One minor gripe, I wish I'd bought the twist-lock version rather than the thumbscrew, it's no biggy but they're a bit of a pain to slide into my canoe pack side pockets.

There are bivvi poles all over the bay for not much money, or get some cheap walking poles and just slice the handles off with a sharp stanley knife and pop a cork in the exposed end.....that's basically all the bivvi poles are anyway.
