EscapePod, Slurpler, OuchPouch

So I’m kind of big into how to carry things.

One specific subset of that particular mania is the aspect of a small pack that can be detached from a larger pack. And another part of that puzzle is what to carry this way, how best to carry it, design it, make it, test it, tweak it....

My name is Thomas and I probably have a problem. :D

I came up with a system to address the needs that I have, and devised a small, simple day pack that could be carried under the top lid of a pack, a hydration bladder that could be attached to it, as well as a comprehensive first aid kit that could also be mated with it.

The first component was the EscapePod™

Then I made the Slurpler™

And I just completed what is pretty close to my ideal med/first aid kit set up, the OuchPouch.

Check em out. Each comes with a little preamble from me, outlining the problem as I identified it and a bit of an explanation of the rationale behind the solution before you get to the juicy part, the photos.

Oh and everything was sewn by hand.
