I wanted to put some effort into it and in my stash of nice woods that i've saved from tree surgery work, I had some Cherry Plum wood that was still green. It made it easier to work with the hand tools but a pain to dry out without checking and twisting.

This cost less than £40 in bits.

Early days as it needs a good soak in the grapeseed oil, a cure and wax to stabilise.

More pics of the handtools ect used in the blog http://woodsmancrafts.blogspot.com/2011/06/enzo-trapper-01-cherry-plum-and-black.html

Just a sheath to do in-between nappies and screaming! :)

Cheers, Addo :)

Lovely work mate, scales are beautiful! Gonna have to get an enzo project on the go to ease me into knife making.

Its a great way to start, and finish if you want a great knife, at low cost with some of yourself put into it.

It is fun making blades too though so best of luck if you take it up.

Thanks for all the comments :D
