Survival pillow...it's obviously no joke in the Women's Auxilliary Baloon Corps! Obviously there are some Walts lurking out there gobbling all this stuff up...

I'm beginning to think my genuinely posed original questions are not being treated seriously by you rabble. Actually I know a Polish girl who used to bump start armoured personnel carriers when she was in the Polish army, Firebreather those cammo knicks.... got any in 46 waist? (she's a big girl)..;) :lmao:

I will get Lin to knock some up for her :beerchug: :beerchug: :beerchug:

:D Survival pillow. Thought folks might enjoy that one. It was suggested that if the aeroplane you were a passenger in fell 40,000 feet into the ocean or similar, the thing that looked remarkably like a little cheap travel pillow (well to this 'ol boy it did anyway) would keep you afloat...so sold as..'survival pillow' :lmao:

I really wonder who is taken in by the dubious references to special forces. Maybe the SAS should be like Woodlore and complain to ebay every time their name is used in vain.

Aother marketing gimmick that iritates me is the bizarre, aggressive names given to air rifles.
For example:

Predator
Eliminator
Nightstalker
Rabbitstopper
Ratcatcher (I just don't get this one....it catches rats????)
Raider
Striker
Stingray
Viper
XL Tactical

Given the public inability to distinguish between gun crime and responsible shooting sports, I really think the manufacturers are doing the sport a disservice. But I guess these names appeal to a lot of their customers.

ranger black doesn't need ironing and is off black. swat black is so black you can dosguise yourself as a hole.

actually you get similar stuff when you type in ray mears, bushcraft or survival as the real world cant tell the difference :)

Makes me remember a similar curiosity from my Army days.

Some folk were so 'army barmy' that some even used to write their Orders with DPM pens. I always used to think that if the only thing keeping you from being seen was a camoflague pen, something's gone wrong somewhere!

and did these pens have camoflague ink!
what about camoflague paper to complete the effect,
military history is one of my hobbies, but thats just plain sad

very clever of him to think of the average age of bushcrafters :)
