Erbswurst my Gmail isn't working at present as regards receiving pms and thread notification. Not sure why and I'm not sure how to fix it atm. Am trying to find someone to help me fix it... not easy among my elder set of friends! !!
Yes I have an enamelware tea kettle and coffee pot. Great bits of kit for on the fire. That's why I thought I might get the billycan too for times when I'm not going ultra light but can't carry the cast iron things.

So, probably only the old swiss army bottle with cork closure was made by Sigg and had a enamel coating???

Unsure, unsure, unsure. I never owned one because it's so small.

Yeah think the Swiss M32 water bottle was enamelled inside

On my Google research about I discovered that Austrians and Germans used field bottles with kork closure and enamel coating as well during WW1. That was simply the old standard equipment before they got aluminium field bottles before WW2.
