The American College of Surgeons has a ‘stop the bleed course’ that’s aimed at non medical people. i’m an instructor. It basically revolves around three main things, direct pressure, packing an open wound with hemostatic gauze, and tourniquet use. I’m confident the Royal College of Surgeons has something similar. If not just google “stop the bleed“. All sorts of resources will come up.
