I've been housebound for most of the last week, having been diagnosed with ligament damage in my foot. Staying indoors in the nice weather has been driving me nuts (even more so than previously), but I discovered that driving doesn't hurt, just walking. I had some fleeces to deliver to Elen Sentier for her to spin into wool (more about this in another thread), which gave me an excuse to get out for a few hours.

I ended up taking zillions of pictures of Elen's lovely garden, and with her permission I will share this little wonderland with you.

The garden was a mass of flowers, and I don't think this lot does it justice at all.

Finally, no pictures of Elen's garden would be complete without the two owners.

Thank you Elen.

Beautiful! Love the skulls. I have an old highlander skull I found standing on a stick in my backgarden for a while as a scarecrow. But the birds just sat on it's horns. Now it's on the wall in my shed. And so many nice flowers. How big is this garden if I may ask?

I'm referring the question of how big the garden is to Elen, as I'm hopeless with questions like that. Bigger than it looks when you are there, but not as big as you might expect from the pictures.

Yes, I know, that makes no sense at all.

Elen Sentier

Bushcrafter (boy, I've got a lot to say!)
1/4 acre, Neils - 1/3 veg, 1/3 woodland, a large meadow/lawn bit by the big pond and a "cottage garden" where the skull-chair is.

The skull is a mohair goat who belonged to a friend. I have a jumper made from his kids' hair.

Ta for all the nice comments, we love it here :)

behind every creative woman there's usually a very talented cat ...
