A couple of helpful tips for those who still have some decent Elderberries left on the trees.
1. Use a kitchen fork to de-berry the stalks back at base.
2. Do it over a sink/bucket of cold water - the ripe berries will sink and the unripe or not-fully ripe ones will float making it easy to separate them. The occasional unripe one may be dragged to the bottom if it is still attached to a ripe one.
