i tryed making a whistle from this website:

when i tryed putting the mouth piece int the shaft kept on breaking. do you know how to stop it breaking?

Not entirely sure I know what you're asking there hardr004, is it the body of the whistle splitting or the piece that fits inside to create the small air gap?
If its the former, the mouthpiece needs to be a little slimmer, if the later, we might need a little more information - any chance of a photo?

Is the flat bit a little big. It only needs to be a good fit- not a hammer in fit
