Edges under magnification

Thanks. The lens from a laserpointer combined with your smartphone camera can get you a long way as well!

May sound funny, but one of the most useful posts I've seen in a long while - thank you for sharing. Interesting to see the result of 'over stropping'.

Interesting stuff.
There's some good work been done on photographing plane iron edges as well which might be worth a look.
