HI,
I have recently aquired a White parachute prehaps it's nylon or silk I'm not sure.

I would like to dye it either Black, Green or brown to use as a shelter.

Do any of you fellow gentlemen have any idea on what is involved in this process or know where i can find info on the process and matrials such as dyes.

Many Thanks for your time.

Dyes... Thats our business!

Quick honest answer is if its Polyester you have no chance, to Dye Polyester you have to wash/dye at a temperature above 125'c approx, and there isnt a washing machine that does it.

Your local DIY store or Habdashery store will no doubt stock Dylon colours, they are the best and easy to use! (I know we supply dylon!)

Silks tend to be dyed as thread or by printing......

If I were you..Dylon!
