Have any of you used the Dutch Army Bivi, modded by Endicotts with a zip and flap? I'm currently using a British Army one which is fine, but I'd prefer a zip to aid getting in and out, particularly for those 3am "nature calls" in the snow!
If your pretty handy with a sewing machine or know someone who is, its not too difficult to add a zip to the British bivi, I got a waterproof zip of the net, so no need for the flap, especially if used with a tarp
Theres loads of the Dutch DPM bivy on ebay if you can live with the camo the zips are allready on and there made under licence for Carinthia in Spain .
