I occasionally get to play with my niece or nephew. I'd really like to get some epic campaigns going on but work always gets in the way.

I found that camping holidays were great for RPGs: a day's walking followed by a night's adventuring.

I have played all D&D versions and I would say second ed is great for paper games, but third and fourth are better in many ways with table play and minies, but put away D&D and play Call of Cthulhu it is so much better then any other RP game I've ever played I love it and could wax lyrical about it for a long, long time.

I still have bits and pieces of AD&D 2nd Ed lying around. Wizards Spellcards (unused!!), Monstrous Compendium with loads of extras, Players Guide and the Dragonlance box set (with a HUGE wall map of Krynn). Also some CoC, Traveller, Star Wars RPG and Shadowrun rulebooks. I used to read 'Dragon' magazine every month too. Anyone remember the name of the UK RPG magazine from around the mid to late 90s? I can't remember the name.
I used to spend hours creating quests and dungeons as a DM. I even used to make props sometimes! Ah good times.

I play a home breed game every Sunday! Currently its a post apocolyptic wateland style game that me and a friend are co-GMing!
I have always wanted to try D&D though...

Well well well. Bushcraft folk like D&D! Fabulous!
I have played and ran rpgs for most of my life.
Too many games to list them all.
With D&D mostly played 2nd Ed - Temple of Elemental Evil, Tomb of Horrors, White Plume Mountain etc.
I am (in)famous for running Skyrealms of Jorune and Rolemaster.
Have enjoyed Amber, Cthulhu, MERP, BRP, Vampire TM etc and many more

Never played AD&D, but did play D&D, Cthulhu, Pendragon, Middle Earth, Warhammer FRP, Star Trek, Battletech, Blood Bowl, Battlecars, ....

Need to get rid of it now, if anyone is interested.

Three of my fav modules there. I really enjoyed the game world of Greyhawk, by GG himself. Also played 'Dark Conspiracy' which is a futuristic-ish sci-fi with evil elves and what not.. :lmao:

Unfortunately I've not DM'd in years n years, not since 2nd ed came out. ( the only good thing about 3rd was they sorted out the armour classes to make sense.. :lmao: ) Games I've played as a player just didn't cut it, I don't enjoy it - plus a couple of the players were playing like it was a solo computer game....

No D&D but played Runequest, Traveller, Battle cars, Blood Bowl, Judge Dredd and Space Hulk extensively through the 80's. Ah, RPG's and HM - what more could a teenage lad want?

Second ed fer me an' the wench.....Still got me character sheets, D 20's an' a few maps...lol....sad ain't it......''You arrive by teleport into the sewers o' Greyhawk''....Why was it ALWAYS the sewers!.....why not the tavern fer a change?....Bloody DM's......lol
