I had a bash at making a down underquilt by harvesting an old down jacket. I used lightweight ripstop that was on sale at fabrics uk and set to with my trusty singer.
Ripstop is a devil to sew as the top layer moves through the machine slower than the rest but i got there in the end.
3 quarter length with about 2 inches of loft. No baffles but three stitch through compartments to hold the down.
First test tonight in the new rig.
