I’ve been eyeing up the DD XL underquilt to go with my hammock, but it looks rather large/heavy due to being synthetic.

Only options I seem to be able to find for a more compact down underquilt involve lots of import fees (£250 down underquilt being more like £350+ after taxes and duty).

Are these my only two options for within the UK? Huge, or extortionate due to import fees?

I mind my Mum making little ski suits for my wee brother....so long ago....anyway, Mum used nylon parachute 'silk' and the down from a feather pillow.....not chicken feathers in those days, but down.
No idea what that would cost now. Personally I am no fan of the weird smell of modern feather pillows and duvets, but a feather duvet costs £33.60 just now...

Ikea is about £36.

Me ? I'd be making a green cover :)
