I remember using those as tentpegs many years ago (well not those actual ones, obviously).

What are they made of? - If they're not galvanised they would be ideal as pot-supports for an Ikea drainer stove (if they're long enough)

yep still use a few of granny's for jacket spuds

the local kitcen shop sells long versions of them took ages to find as most shops have the thin flat long ones for kebabs
they are steel and seem to have a plate on them probably tin or similer etc
