I made this wood gas stove from a couple of tins I had lying around, a bit of fun for an hour or so. It works surprisingly well, bringing 300ml of water to a boil in six minutes. The tins I used were a baked bean tin and a large soup tin, although any other suitably sized containers will do.

Superb, been looking at these myself of late as something to make to keep myself occupied, gawd only knows when i'll be able to use one though, still have a brand new Kelly Kettle Solo that i got four of five years ago that hasn't seen any use yet.
