And the DIY camp is done!
It all went very much to plan and I did not have to use any of the spare kit I took along

The only "Emergency" kit used was for a midnight dash to the loo trench when the need for speed outweighed the practicality of taking my candle stick to help me navigate through the brambles and trees...
The candle lantern was a great success - but as it gets quite hot in the case it gets through candles quite fast. I used no more candles over the weekend than fit in the lantern for traveling so that was OK.
The boxers did the job - but I still prefer my standard briefs as "Real" underwear!
I used one of my "Junkshop knives" and it performed brilliantly for general use and for carving an extra fork but the frying pan I made tends to let food stick to the pan surface - no teflon and not seasoned cast-iron!
My Iron Age shoes would not be first choice for full time wear but were more than good enough for a weekend in the woods.
It was not the most active weekend ever - cutting firewood and cooking were the major activities other than talking but I did get in a bit of axe throwing and a bit of whittling

All in all a great weekend and all the kit worked well (though I need a new saw blade and a new haft on my tomahawk - both are a bit "tired").
I did miss my coffee filter - the only bit of kit I do not want to try to make, putting up with "Cowboy Coffee is OK though!
The next trip will be using a usual mix of DIY and bought kit!
