Diamond Whetstones Advice Please

Hi chums, looking for advice on which of the above to get and where from?.

Any views advice on makes. There seem to be so many out there.

Lookout for the cheapo ones from the likes of Lidl and Aldi. They are pretty good for rough touch ups of your sharps. A DC4 would be another good investment and finish with a strop.

I tend to only use diamond stones for big jobs as most are too abrasive. I prefer cermanic stones.

don't bother with the dc4, they are crap comapred to the ones made years back!

if you want cermamic go for the spyderco double stuff, far superior even to the old dc4!

I'm a fan of the Aldi four sided blocks too. Not the flat plates, they warp.

I've got a few DMT's, the bench whetstones and diafolds. I think they are excellent, but overpriced and none have lasted as long as I'd like.
