Delivery times from US?

Does anyone have an idea on how long a delivery from the US should take to London?

I ordered some hammocks that were dispatched on the 27th July, and now sign yet, so can you put my mind at rest or should i go into panic mode?

Of all the stuff I've ordered from the states, it all generally arrived within a week!

One or two larger items took a month!

My RSK took 2 days. DVD's sometimes take 3-4 weeks.
All depends on how long it takes C/E to work out how to sting you. And whether it went air or sea....

There's really no way of knowing. I've received some goods within the week and others have taken a month.
I've found the vendors to be efficient and informative with their dispatches, but customs can often hold things for ages before releasing them even if they don't end up charging you VAT. Then there's our sloppy Post Office to contend with too.

I regularly purchase bits and bobs from the states and there are many factors that could delay the item.
1. The cost of shipping. If it goes via USPS it may take a while or a day depending on what side of the states it is being shipped from. Sometimes it will go by road from East to West, whilst other times it may be flown.
2. The USPS are basically the same as our Post Office, in the past we were the best in the world but times (sorry any posties) have changed and the parcel may wander for a while.
3. It may get stuck in customs for a bit depending on backlog.

I usually wait a month before getting worried. But then there is nothing you can do unless it is tracked.

You may want to contact the vendor and ask how it was sent. That seems like a heck of a long time for a package to get from here to there.

My mate says they're pretty cool and weigh sod all. CAn't wait to see them tomorrow! Will try them out at the weekend, then next weekend it's off to Spain for a couple of weeks sleeping in them, so I'll give a full review on my return!

Well impressed on initial viewing. They come packed up in a roll of about 12" by 4" and weigh not a lot. Very impressive quality too. Watch this space!
