Deer in my Garden

Was making a coffee a few mins ago and looked out the kitchen window and this is what I got

The young buck in the first photos was in my garden just underneath the kitchen window and the group of 5 deer were in the garden of the house opposite of me

I have seen them at night before in the back garden but never out the front and in the middle of the day , a few days ago will still had about 2 foot of snow covering everything but temperatures have just risen and it has all melted in the last two days or so. So I think they must be coming in close for all the freash shoots that they have not been able to get at for the past few month

Wish i had Deer in my garden too,. One of the local farmers here had a young fallow buck in his field during 2010 with his small herd of cattle. Whenever he moved the herd onto fresh grazing this lil buck would follow them and he became very popular with the locals. As fallow are a herd deer and he was obviously lost, where he came from nobody has any idea, he took to these cows and grazed and sat with them all summer until one day the farmer found its remains in a nearby larch plantation killed and butchered by poachers. However i did manage to take a few shots of him while he was alive, here they are.

sadly this was the last ever pic i got of him, already wary presumably of people having a go at him i couldn't get in close without him bounding off!

And with a rifle you wouldn't have far to get 'em into the freezer.
Nice pics and nice to see, we occasionally get them at our shop window... which startles the customers a bit.
