I'd love to have deer visit my garden. I'd put salt licks and maze out for the boy.

Nice photo. Good point about ticks - don't want to scare monger but a young lad died of lyme disease on my stalking ground last year - really tragic.
Muntjac bucks can wound dogs if cornered or distressed as they have sharp canines. Great little deer though - enjoy his visits.

They are good eating but like all deer - depends on age, how the its been handled, butchered, hung etc
