Had a good day of spoon carving today, got seven spoons and spatulas made in the end, the majority of the spoons and spats were carved from Sycamore, the two darker spoons are from Birch.

Unfortunatley the Sycamore doesnt have the contrast that the Birch does when photographed

Very nice! Are you a sander, or are they tool finished?

The spoons are sanded, the spatulas are straight off the knife.

I find some spoons lend themselves to a tooled finish, whereas others lend themselves to a sanded finish, so i do both, but i do find that the sanded ones sell better though
