dd tarp and spiked poles?

I have a number of poles of the type that have a spike on the end. is there a good way to make them work with a DD tarp as it does not have grommets in it

Use them through the loops, with the guyline under the loop? Does that make sense? Put the guyline on the pole, then the pole through the loop.

I have used a Wilco clothes line prop in the past but these break down into 4 parts and at the moment have held my 4x4 tarp up for 2 days without any issues.

Another thing you can do is to take a turn round the spike with the loop, which makes it a much smaller loop and holds well under tension.

Larkshead the loop onto the spike. That's what I do with my DD tarp. The guy line can be larksheaded on as well, around the tarp loop larkshead if you want.

I just twist the pole a couple of times through the loop and it tightens nicely in it.
