About the only issue I've heard about DD Hammocks is that the tape supplied with their hammocks is... 'stretchy' shall we say, when first used so take this into account when first pitching up or you might be ground dwelling during the night :lmao::lmao:

Edit. I forgot to say that their kit is very good apart from that one issue. I use both their tarps at various times.

Same here: I've got the standard DD hammock and didn't get on with the supplied tapes (and yes, I've ended up with my backside on the ground!) I replaced mine ages ago and from what I've seen, most other folk seem to do the same (but equally, we blokes do like to tinker with our kit!)

I've also got their sleeping bag liner, which I thought was a bit flimsy but OK I guess for the price. Mine tore early on along a seam, but it's been fine since it was fixed.

I've also got their larger heavier tarp which I've had no problem with. Bit heavy to lug around but good at what it does.

One final positive about DD stuff is that their customer service is second to none.

My DD hammock is great, so is my tarp and hammock sleeve. The stock suspension however isn't very good. I changed it out as soon as I could.

I have 2 of their hammocks both with sleeves and I think they are great especially at those prices. Once the tapes stretched after the first use I didn't have any problem with them. Just set up early the first time and lounge in it lots before bedtime and keep adjusting it. I was no closer to the floor by morning than when I went to sleep but I did have to adjust it lots of times during that first evening. The sleeves are definitely worth having, they make it much easier to pack away. I also got my Ghillie kettle from them. I echo what everyone else says about the company. Great service, speedy delivery, a pleasure to deal with.

I have the 3x3m tarp and it gets the full thumbs-up from me. Don't have one of their hammocks, but a friend has the one with the mossie net, and it's a fantastic item - if I was to get a new hammock I'd certainly get one of those!
I did have the 35l canvass rucksack. I'll try to be polite...mmm...it needs, shall we say, considerable modification. I no longer have it

Very good kit indeed, priced right and very accessible to any one wanting to try this style of travel out weather it be hammockheads or ground hogs. I have the hammock with the side zip so you can slip a theemarest in or get in your self, a 4x4 tarp and a 3x3 tarp, very good, well built kit, I've had my hammock for four years sofar and it still look as good as new.

Price, delivery and service all very good.

I got the XL tarp, to make things a bit more comfy than my Aussie hootchie and am very happy with it.

The only tiny complaint is that the tape for some of the attachment points runs along the underside of the tarp, so in heavy rain you get wicking of water along the tape, which causes runs of water along the underside of the tarp. When I get around to it, I'm going to apply some sort of waterproofing to the tapes to stop the wicking.
