It looks like a lean-to to me, no idea if tarp configurations are named but it sounds reasonable to me. I tend to go for a similar set up with my Tatonka, 3 x 4 metre tarp. Plenty of living space and good run off, a bit of protection from the side, very comfy.

Ok thanks, I thought it was something like that just from what i've seen on the T.V haha but thought there might have been a proper "tarpology" name for it.

I think it's called a "modified lean-to" as you have the lip over the ridge line.
