I got a lansky sharpener thingy for mine.i have stones for my chisels extra at work but the lansky puts a quick no fuss edge on the tramontina in seconds.cheap enough too

Just finished my interpretation of a DC knife, sanded to 1200 wet and dry and is now soaking the rimu handle in linseed oil, can stay submerged for a couple of days to really drink it in.

Came to about 9.5 inches long, which is a tad shorter than his I think, 5.25 blade with 4.75 cutting surface (edge maybe tad longer once you add in the curve), rest is handle, 4 mm thick blade, saber ground, put a good edge on it this afternoon.
