Fair enough sir. Yes it does sound hard. I was looking at it on a sliding scale of potential life experiences. My years of work in addictions has brought me into peoples deep private pain re: any number and type of abuses, suicide, violence, etc.......... I lived on a far northern fly in Aboriginal reserve where seeing unattended wounded dogs was common. They had a yearly cull of pack dogs. I used to come across their rotting bodies, that where tossed into the bush........A house fire and a dog pup dying is indeed sad news, but many have lived through infinitely worse. If my choice is sitting in a room with a crying adult male combat vet with PTSD, who wants to kill himself, or a house fire. I say the house is replaceable, the man isn't. So ya, I guess I'm hard in some ways.
