Daughters camping trip

My daughter has just returned from a weeks camping trip in Wales, she went with her boyfriend(5yr olds now days...) & she was complaining about him, saying what a wuzz he was whinging about every little insect bite, the bed wasn't comfortable etc..

Realy made me smile, when she said "I don't think he's a camper dad".

There are plenty more fish in the sea and obviously this relationship is doomed to fail... she needs to cut her losses and find someone new ( with better camping cred) before she is left on the shelf!

It seems it was the first time he'd been camping !. They are both in their late 20's, & he didn't want to look daft & say he'd never slept in a tent before, but my daughter says he was definitely out of his comfort zone.

Remember going away with another couple in our early 20's and the chap had never camped either, was so wound up by the experience that he couldn't sleep and he vomited all night. He really wasn't a happy chappy.

You've brought her up right and it's a lovely line that - "I don't think he's a camper dad".
