Anybody know anything about Case knives? I awaiting the arrival of one I've purchased and wondered what sort of year it was. Looking at the logos I believe it might be 1930's but wondered if any of you lovely people knew anything.

I think what you have there is a very old Case knife,i would guess well over 70 years old, the name lozenge hasnt been placed in the centre for some time, and the font has changed too, it will date after 1910 but could well be a collectors piece, unfortunately Case are owned now by Zippo Lighters, so not sure if they have historic info you could check. The blades are old style too look special type, a very nice piece, you could look on Ebay US to see if there are any similar ones.

Thank you, hopefully it'll arrive tomorrow. I've done a fair bit of googling (and eBay US) but haven't found an image of one the same. I found a site with dates of logos and it seems to be between 1920-1940. I think it might have been a good £15 investment! Itching for it to turn up now

sounds like a very good bargain, as ones from that era go for good money, well done I hope itturns out to be as good as the pics, the lozenge wording and font had me thinking itmay be earlier than 1920.

This is the picture I found. It seems capital letters as a scroll were post 1920....

Did find out one little fact regarding the badge on the knife, up to 1970 the badge was pinned on the knife, after this date they started to glue them on

Where the path takes me
You might want to search a few US Scout collecting websites. I think there is a website/book out there that focuses just on Scout pocket knives. I have a generic US Scout collecting book somewhere and I'm sure there is a knife section. I'll have a look.

Nice knife!!

Fab, thank you.

I've cleaned it up a bit now and it's in surprisingly good condition!
