dartmoor closed to cars

went to north dartmoor today for a walk and they have now shut the road than went round the top end of the moor, now i think this is a good thing as i felt more alone today out there instead of bumping into dogwalkers in jeans i felt like i had earned my hot chocolate by the time i had got to hanging stone hill knowing i had to walk all the way back to the camp to my lr plus surly this can only be benifisal to the moor itself (sorry for bad spelling) what do you think

eh? I live on North Dartmoor and I haven't heard of any roads being closed this week?! Where abouts was it that was closed? I know there have been a few crashes courtesy of black ice over the last week or so.

I think he means the service road around Okehampton range area on the moors itself

yep bike thing has it in one its the service road that runs round the range area on north dartmoor runs up as far as op15 and back
