OK folks, go forth and take pictures of these amazing animals. This picture was taken with just a rubbish phone, so anyone can get in on it.

Great pics. I went home and picked up my wetsuit and mask this afternoon. The stream is pretty fast flowing, but there were loads of damsel nymphs in there. I was lucky enough to see a female Banded Demoiselle pull herself underwater and lay eggs on one of the plants. Pretty amazing viewing it from underwater but I couldn't take piccies obviously. Hopefully if the sun comes out I can get back with a waterproof camera and get some shots. The water was pretty cold today even with a 3mm wetsuit.

You need to right click on the picture and copy the properties code. Copy and paste that and you are good to go. That is a fantastic picture by the way.

Thanks for that and kind comment always a bonus. It was actually an easy picture to take, towards the end of summer and it was a little slow. One of the first pics taken with new DSLR and autofocus having just moved out from a manual focus (canon T90) to DSLR/AF (Nikon). Still miss some elements of film but not enough to go back.

Here is one I snapped in my back garden! My 4 year old daughter started squealing on the trampoline and when I went to investigate the beastie that she was "frightened" of had landed on the trampoline in front of her. I explained it was nothing to be afraid of and said I would try and get a picture. When I came back with the camera she had very delicately picked it up to have a closer look. Just after I took the picture it flew away unharmed. Hopefully she is not frightened of beasties like this again.

I think slowworm has the best shot though!
