Here it's another Damascus camp knife in 1080, 15n20, and pure nickel "Tsunami" pattern.
Blade it’s 5mm thick The Total length 24.5 cm and 38 at the widest point.
Now the Next step is to clean the knife and shape the scales.
Tel me what you think.
Thanks for looking!

Nice shape, lovely pattern and I love big flat grinds. What are you using for scales? Looking forward to seeing this one progress...

Der der! I was only looking at the knife and didn't even notice the scales in the pic. That'll look a treat dressed in those. Personally I'd go pewter liners as I prefer silver colour to brass but that's just me. Reckon the silver trim would really set off the damascus but brass will do the same thing. Keep us posted on this one!

is the brass a way of offering weight to the handle?..(i assume so with a blade that size)

or purley asthetic ?

Ok a little update from the workbench.
Today i did a quik etch to see how it looks. Now the next step it’s to shape and fit the scales to the handle and clean the knife and make it ready for HT.
To be continued.

Ok a little update.
The knife is back from Heat treatment and so far i have clean the knife and shape the scales,I decide not to put the bras liners this time because I dint want the knife to be heavy at the handle. now the knife it is ready for a bath in Ferric Chloride.
To be continued.
