A few weeks ago during an old clear out I came across an old sword that I was going to bin. I decided to lop about 10 inches off the blade for use in a future project ad today I've started the process.
I have decided I'm going to make a stick tang dagger which is double edged.
I started off with what I had cut off the blade.
I then set about cutting down the end to make the stick tang and regrading the edges to get the right profile.
Those is how it stands at the moment.
Next is to source some wood and start work on the handle.
