Can anyone out there advise me as to where I may purchase a large canvas cutlery roll? I have searched the web,
but to no avail. I would like one with several dozen slots; the need to avoid clanking when driving is strong!
I will make one if I have to; but, not having a sewing machine handy, I would prefer to be idle and buy one if possible.
Thanks for any help given.

Hi,
The cutlery roll i have in my car is made from blanket material you would still need to make it yourself but the blanket would be easier to sew.
Sorry i cant be more help, if you want some pics just ask.

I thought about tool & knife rolls, but they don't have enough pockets of the right size or in the right layout.
I once saw the ideal thing on a South African 4WD T.V. show, but I've searched in vain for the manufacturer.

The problem is... if I don't get a piece of kit EXACTLY as I want it, I just get annoyed every time I look at it
and - in the end - I don't use it. I am resigned to making my own - sore fingers and lots of time but the perfect article.

I'll use duck canvas from Pointnorth in Wales. It is a fabric tough enough for sharp objects, strong enough to
sew well and treated so as to be rot-proof. If the speed of my making a GOOD case for my binoculars is anything
to go by, expect an update sometime in July 2007.

Re; this cutlery roll.

Any Marine chandlers around your way?

For sure, they would know a tarpaulin maker: These fellahs are always making covers for things.

Choose your own materials and have ,em make one to your specific design.

Just a thought.
