I have been making a crooked knife blade for a customer and thought that maybe other people might be interested in having one, and so made a few more blades at the same time.
I am offering them for sale as a small kit. I have 2 sizes of blades: 73mm and 46mm approx, both for right and left handed knives.
The kit comprises:
1 blade
1 band sawn American White Oak blank handle, marked with the position of the tang
Enough whipping thread for finishing
1 "how to" sheet to help you with making your crooked knife
All for the miserly sum of 25 quids, including 1st class postage to the UK for each kit!
The two blades
The kit (got ahead of myself there and took the pic before I shaped the blades
What the carving knife looks like when done
The lot of them
This is my prototype and the blade is on the underside. On your kit the blade will be fitted in the middle of the handle. The position of the tang is marked on the blank. The finished knife measure 220 mm long.
To finishe the knife, all you'll need is two part epoxy (araldite) a few common tools to shape the handle to your liking, sand paper and varnish.
Of course you must be 18 or over to buy this.
Thanks for looking.
