a previous customer contacted me to find out if i could do a spoon knife, they asked if i could do one like this

http://www.raymears.com/Bushcraft_Pr...-Right-handed/

but the belly not so deep and a little thinner...

the blade is high carbon steel with a corrian red liner alloy and another liner, followed by some seasoned cherry, the pictures dont do the grain justice....

this is what i came up with though

many thanks.

regards.

chris.

thanks gents....

Mike thats corrian, a man made set resin type of material, it handle the same as horn but its a little softer and cant be heat molded.... shines up nice too when buffed lots...;)

the finish is a little rough for grip though..

Very nicely done Chris, I like that a lot

I thought the thread title was leading to the FC's continued selling of their woodlands, despite the fuss we all kicked up last year.

The handle shape is unusual, how did you arrive at that design?

Very beautiful knife. I like the sheath, it looks like you could slip the knife into it when putting the knife down, very practical.

i was asked to reproduce it as a clone, but with some tweeks, the advantages of custom eh.....:)

the sheath is just what i came up with, basic but functional, my leather work is not so good, but the stitching is the same as Sam's micro neck knife sheath, thought i would try and keep the same style for him...

thanks mrcharly.

Arrived today
the handle is very tactile begs to be held and used
i have tomorrow off work so i know what i will be doing
the handle size and shape makes for a very light knife which i think will allow for prolonged use
well chuffed that you got this from a couple of semi vauge pm's and a link
Great job
Sam
