cork floats?

in scotland i found some old cork fishing floats, and i don't know what to do with them?
They are about 10 x 20 cm.

Hang a bunch of baited lines from on and send it out on a sail? There is a picture in The SAS Survival Guide.

Alternatively, use them for a net.

I think that's a good idea , or why not a whole handle made from cork .

Why not give handling a blade a try Callum, there's loads of good cheap blades available.

Your cork should be easy to shape, ideal for a first attempt then progress to wood.

There's also a few very experienced makers here who I'm sure would be more than happy to help answer any questions .
