So after finally buying a blank I took to giving it a handle. I am completely useless at diy so it is nowhere near as good as all of the ones I see posted on here, but I'm happy as i did a lot better than I expected.
The knife is a condor Bushlore Blank.
I started initially by taping up the blade to help prevent any injuries.
The unkown wood was cut down to just larger than the tang. Then a rough shape was drawn as a template.
The Rough shape was cut and 5.5mm holes drilled.
Only had 6mm rod so sanded it down slightly after spending so long searching for 6mm drill bit with no luck. Sped up with a drill
Epoxy was applied and the knife was clamped to prevent movement whilst I let it set
The excess rod was cut off. Then the knife was sanded to the same shape as the tang (not perfect but good enough for my standards. Then going over with higher grit to give a smooth finish.
My current state. Im almost done just need to decide on a finish (currently looking between linseed oil and a suggested Danish oil) any help would be appreciated l.
Obviously nowhere near your guys standards, but for me I think it will do just fine
