I like toasted bready things in the morning. All kinds of variety. Often some fruit.
I'd drink the coffee from the pot if nobody was looking.

If you were Swedish you would drink your breakfast Absolut from the bottle if nobody was looking.

Nah. A Scot has thick skin.

In Sweden the traditional breakfast included a very large shot of home made vodka. I knew old guys back in the 1970’ that still did it.

When I studied in Malmö during the 1980’ we used to go across to Copenhagen a lot. More fun (everything, including girls) than Lutheran Sweden.
The standard breakfast for workers ( street, harbour) was a thick slice of rye bread, thickly coated with butter and a cm thick slice of aged Havarti cheese.
Tea? Coffee?
No, a bottle of Tuborg and a shot of Gammeldansk!

Totally agree, it's unfortunate, but inevitable. I'm writing in jest so happy to take the post as such, though I'm not lying about my dads porridge.

I dehydrate very quickly. Far too expensive to drink a lot of diuretic booze in the morning.
Nobody would think any more of me if I did. Whiskey in porridge. Really.

And, I know the tribe who are happy to drink their breakfasts to "straighten themselves out."

So, I'll drink all the coffee from the pot. Very mild diuretic though it maybe.
That and my 4 slice toaster full of home made waffles and home made grape syrup, I'm OK.

All diuretics.

Only liquids I drink.
