As good as Sorel is they are no longer made in Maple Syrup Country(Vietnam)
My Nupste gilet is 11 years old, still going strong if you ignore the lower back bit. Lowe Alpine Aleutian micrcofleece is proving a good investment. After 8years its still comfy.
In short go with what you feel comfy in without quantitive? easing on the purse strings.

I'm not sure TBH. Last time I had a look at any designer gear it all looked so alike I couldnt figure out which was which without the label/ price tag thing. I like the look & Feel of the some of the MH trousers, and the E Vent jackets fabric, But I'm always put off by the price. The main thing i though I have found my fave "Upper" clothes in the Paramo alta2/Taiga Fleece & Gambia zip.

Same with the haglufts iirc Down puffer jacket(So I bought a snugpak sasquatch for 1/3 the price).

So now I'm happy with what I've go, even if I won the euromillions I wouldnt spend the money of new brands.
