Yep... We finally got enough snow to give them a try. I've just spent a couple of hours yomping over Saddleworth moor in them.
Great fun.
Actually he posted while I was thinking about my reply ........ but it worked out funny that way ........ sorry Gary

As a couple of you know, I got myself a pair of surplus Snowshoes a while back and I thought today would be a good chance to try them out a bit.
The snow was a bit too fresh really but they still did the trick.
The tracks on the left are my snowshoe float and the deeper tracks are my normal prints over the same snow.
The route I took I have done before in snow and it just about wore me out in boots but this time, although I was still a bit tired, it was nowhere near as strenuous.
Of course I still had to stop for a brew up.
