Clothing Travel Wash

Hi all,

I am going to the world Scout Jamboree for three weeks at the end of the month as an Assistant Unit Leader.

I am looking for a some travel wash for hand washing my clothes, ideally one that isn't too expensive. I have used the life venture stuff, but wondered what others use?

When camping in campsites during family holidays we use stuff like this http://www.roamingfox.co.uk/Travel-Wash-pr-16519.html or a supermarket's own brand.


I've no idea where you will be doing your washing but this stuff is not bio-degradable & should never be used in or near a water course.

Life Venture is good - it is what I have used for years.

I hadn't heard of lifeventure before but having just had a butcher's at their website, it looks like good stuff, much more eco-friendly.

You could boil up some of your own, either at home before you go or on site so you can carry the dry ingredients in your pack (baking soda & soap). Plenty of recipes on the internet.

Pick up Travel Wash, it does the job just fine, been using it for years, is it non eco friendly ?
