Hi all, what is the best way to clean the jets on a coleman dual fuel stove, beenusing unleaded more than white gas and needs a clean out.
And tips or advice / experience?
Flame is staying yellow rather it's heatey blue.thanks in advance.
Few drops of Redex should sure it... Been using Colemans with unleaded for over 20 years...(hard to get Coleman fuel in France) and this always works for me.
cheers
Gareth
The thing is Gareth for every one person who says 'I've run my coleman on unleaded for years without problems' there are dozens of people with buggered Coleman lanterns and stoves clogged up with all the muck in petrol. A camp buddy of mine insisted that unleaded would be fine, his lantern lasted three weekends away and the stove four or five. Add in the fact that petrol stinks and if you have a spill of fuel the smell lingers for ages its just not worth using petrol IMHO. When I was an active stove collector I never talked to another who used petrol in their Colemans, certainly not after trying it and dealing with a clogged stove/lantern, and these people are all over the world.
Clean fuel thats fit for purpose = a working stove
